Cedar Mountain Eldred K. Burns passed away on Monday February 2nd, 2010 after an extended illness. She was born April 26th, 1921 in Transylvania County and was preceded in death by her parents the late Harley Newton Burns and Carrie Viola Burns. Miss Burns was retired after working 52 years as an Executive Secretary in the Finishing Department at Ecusta. She is survived by two sisters; Mrs. Ruth Whitson and husband Jack of Cedar Mountain, NC and Mrs. Dot Layne and husband Bruce of Hendersonville, NC and three nieces and 3 nephews. The family will be gathering at the home of Jack and Ruth Whitson prior to the service. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Moody-Connolly Funeral Home on Wednesday February 3rd, 2010 at 1:00pm with the Rev. Michael Whitson and Rev. Don Waters officiating. Miss Burns will be buried at the Rocky Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
