Obituary

Eleanor Maxine Parker Rosman – Eleanor Maxine Parker, 94, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Transylvania Regional Hospital. A native of Macon County, IL, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Elsie Catherine Hazelrigg Quigley and was the wife of the late Robert Alexander Parker. Mrs. Parker was a member of Zion Baptist Church and was a former member of English Chapel United Methodist Church. Surviving are her daughters, Mary P. McCall and husband Wallace E. of Rosman and Janet Elizabeth Estes and husband Terry of Estes Park, CO; sons, James Craig Parker and wife Donna of Scottsdale, AZ, and David Lynn Parker and wife Alice Jean of Franklin, PA, and Eric Colin Parker and wife Louise of Brevard; eleven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at 2 PM Monday, January 28, 2013 in the Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 2:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
