Elisa Anamaria Pace, 62, of Cedar Mountain, went to be with the Lord on August 13, 2026.

Born to Felix and Rosemary Sotomayor on May 6, 1964, in Hayward, California, Elisa lived a life of love. Her journey was one of reconnection and rediscovery, culminating in a cherished love story with her high school sweetheart, Randy, with whom she was joyfully married for 17 years.

Elisa’s spirit shone brightly through her gentle heart and generous soul. She was a master at canning, transforming garden-fresh vegetables and homemade jams into gifts of love that warmed the hearts of all who received them. Her angelic voice once graced the Easter Cantata at Pretty Place.

A tender friend to both humans and animals, Elisa’s compassion knew no bounds. She fostered countless cats, offering them refuge and love, and her heart was always open to those facing life's hardships. Her recent work as a caregiver for a woman with Alzheimer’s was a labor of love, and she formed a bond that reflected her deep empathy and unwavering kindness.

Elisa’s love for sunflowers mirrored her sunny disposition — bright, uplifting, and full of hope. Her family was her greatest joy—her daughters Amber (Ryan) and Whitney (Andrew), her seven beloved grandchildren: Payton, Titus, Collins, Ezekiel, Dusting, Maverick, and Andi; and her siblings.

A celebration of her radiant life will be held on September 12, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Faith Memorial Chapel, 11 Faith Chapel Road, Cedar Mountain, North Carolina.

Elisa’s legacy is woven into the hearts of those she touched — a beacon of love, kindness, and faith. Her life was a beautiful melody, a gift to all who knew her. Though she has left this earthly home, her spirit remains, shining like a sunflower in full bloom.
