Emeline Cole Frizzell Brevard – Emeline Cole Frizzell, 88, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at the Oaks of Brevard. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late William Bryson Cole and Texas Hutchins Cole and was the wife of the late Enloe Frizzell. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Otis, Frank, and Wade Cole. Mrs. Frizzell was a faithful member of Pisgah Forest Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and Bible School, served on the Hostess Committee, the Welcoming Committee, the Benevolence Committee and visited the shut ins to deliver Church literature. She enjoyed gardening, needlepoint, crocheting, knitting, was an avid reader, and loved to help others. She was a TRH volunteer, served as an officer in the Extension Homemakers, and provided and delivered meals to shut ins. Surviving are her daughter, Joyce Pressley and husband Dennis of Hickory, NC; sons, Ed Frizzell and wife Brenda of Pisgah Forest and Danny Frizzell and wife Renee of Mills River; brother, Caro Cole and wife Mildred of Sylva, NC; grandchildren, Dennis Pressley and wife Christine of Charlotte, Brian Pressley of Hickory, Mark Frizzell and wife Lacey of Mills River, Hannah Frizzell of Pisgah Forest, Justin Frizzell of Charlotte, Megan Frizzell of Mills River, and Taylor Frizzell of Mills River; great-grandchildren, Jordyn Pressley, LeAnna Frizzell and Colton Frizzell. The funeral service will be held at 3 PM Monday, September 2, 2013 at Pisgah Forest Baptist Church with Rev. David Spray and Rev. Brian Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
