Etowah- From the peaceful haven of her home, in the early morning hours of August 15, Emily Reese Galloway quietly slipped from our presence into the presence of her Heavenly Father.

She was born February 16th 1936 in Haywood County to the late Eric and Ruth Smathers Reese. She was 86 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Galloway and daughter Martha Lois Galloway.

Survivors include one son, Lee Galloway, two daughters, Brenda Buchanan and Barbara Shepherd, four grandchildren Billy Brown, Kylie Hodgson, Gerry Shepherd Jr. and Katlyn Limer, three great-grandsons, Remington Pearson, Zackery and Nolan Feick.

Devoted wife, caring mother, loving grandmother and truly smitten great-grandmother, Emily will be missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held September 17th 2022, at Boylston Baptist Church, 10642 Boylston Hwy Mills River NC, at 1:00. There will be a meal and time to fellowship after the service.
