Pisgah Forest - Ernest "Ernie" Grady Rollins, 84, passed away on July 22, 2024 in his home, surrounded by his family.

Ernie was preceded in death by his wife Rose Rollins and son Larry Rollins.

He was born to Gordon and Estella Rollins on August 28, 1939 in Buncombe County.

In 1959, Ernie married Rose Marie Queen. Rose was Ernie's queen and he devoted his life to making her happy. Everyone that knew Ernie will remember him as a kind, funny, loving and generous person. He was always willing to help others. Ernie was a devoted husband and father. He wanted nothing more than for his family to be happy and live a wonderful life.

Ernie worked at DuPont in Brevard, NC and ran a small business, Ernie's Small Engine Service.

He is survived by his children, Laurie (Jack) Watson of Toxaway, NC, George (Pam) Rollins of North Myrtle Beach, SC, and Brad (Vanessa) Rollins of Hendersonville, NC; siblings Linda Landers of Etowah, NC, Gene Rollins of Spartanburg, SC, Neil Rollins of Hendersonville, NC, Roger Rollins, and Tommy Rollins. Ernie had three grandchildren Dillan (Sara) Rollins, Ashley Rollins, and Trinity Rollins; and great granddaughters Dani and Millie Rollins.

Graveside services will be held 12:30pm, Monday,  July 29, 2024 at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 11am – 12noon at Moody Connolly Funeral Home prior to the service.
