Ernestine Golden Shook, 85, went home to be with the Lord on December 25, 2017. A native of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late James and Wannie Mathis Golden. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, James Clyde Shook; children, James Mitchell Shook and wife Sandra, Tina Shook Lail and husband Billy, Brenda Merritt, Sherle Ammann and husband Randy; several brothers, sisters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at 1 PM Thursday, December 28, 2017 in the Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
