Brevard – Etta Louise Hogsed Gillespie, 95, passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at the Oaks of Brevard. A native of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Bunyan Asbury Hogsed and Nicie Ball Hogsed and was the wife of the late Arthur Gillespie. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Coleman, Jack, and Harry Hogsed. Mrs. Gillespie was a member of Carr's Hill Baptist Church. Surviving are several nephews and nieces. The funeral service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, March 8, 2012 in the Moody-Connolly Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Shane Hardesty officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the Fellowship Hall Fund of Carr's Hill Baptist Church, 2719 Greenville Hwy., Brevard, NC 28712.
