Etta E. Raines Brevard – Etta E. Raines, 85, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2014. She was a daughter to the late Robert and Omie Powell Eubanks. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Davis Clemon Raines, daughters; Laura Pauline Stamey and Elizabeth Cheryl Ann Toole; son; Robert Lee Stamey; brothers, Hozy L., William M., Hovie R., Mack R. and Ralph R. Eubanks and two great grandchildren. Etta was a native of Transylvania County and a wonderful homemaker. Surviving are her children, Etta Louise Owens and husband Roland Lee of Brevard, Paul Burgess Raines and wife Shirley Carolina of Brevard, Viola Wiggins and husband Donald Larry of Pisgah Forest, Cecil Pedro Raines and wife Barbara Faye of Brevard, Claude Mitchell Raines of Brevard; sister, Evia C. Cooper of Balsam Grove; 13 grandchildren and their spouses, 40 great grandchildren and their spouses and 8 great great grandchildren and 16 nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 3pm, Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Dunns Creek Cemetery.
