Evon Lyday Goede, age 78, of Pisgah Forest passed away on Friday, July 19, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Thelma Baynard Lyday. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ortwin Goede. Evon was a very active member of Turkey Creek Baptist. She was a good cook and enjoyed gardening. She loved her family and adored her grandchildren. Survivors include one son, Eric Goede and his wife Melissa of Pisgah Forest, one brother, Steve Lyday and his wife Alice of Brevard, one sister, Joyce Phillips of Pisgah Forest, three grandchildren, Heather, Andrew and Nicholas Goede and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Turkey Creek Baptist Church, 805 Capps Road, Pisgah Forest, NC 28768. Funeral Services will be held 2pm, Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at Turkey Creek Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
