Floyd Ray Conner Pisgah Forest – Floyd Ray Conner, 71, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Jackson County, he was the son of the late William Ralph Conner and Aurlee Brown Conner. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Betty Jo Conner, and his brothers, Claymon Dean Conner and Harvey G. Conner. Mr. Conner was retired from Ecusta Corp. and he attended Rosman Pentecostal Lighthouse. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and spent most of his time doting on his grandchildren and teaching them life lessons. Surviving are his wife, Mildred Jones Conner; daughter, Pam Raines and husband Tom of Brevard; son, Chris Conner and wife Jacque of Pisgah Forest; grandchildren, Justin and Kirby Raines, and Christopher and Emma Conner. The funeral service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at the Rosman Pentecostal Lighthouse with the Revs. Don Johnson, Jurell Hand, and Clark Sheffield officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Tuesday at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home. Memorials may be mad to the Rosman Pentecostal Lighthouse.
