Floyd Billy Jones August 11, 1937 – January 16, 2013 Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many, died on January 16, 2013 at The Elizabeth House. He was born in Rosman, North Carolina, the son of Johnny and Dixie Jones. He is a retired US Army MSgt, and a veteran of the Vietnam War. He is survived by his wife Mary, son David Jones, daughter Marilyn Lauffer and husband Tim, daughter Debra Davis and husband Shane, daughter Nancy Lauffer and husband Jeff, grandchildren Erica Lauffer, Kaley Jones, Telecia Hopkins, Morgan Monts, Megan Monts, Chelsea Jones, Abbey Lauffer, Garrett Lauffer, Kaylynn Jones, his brother-in-law, Tracy Rice, his sister Hazel Tucker and husband Bob, his brother Ray Jones and wife Marilyn, his sister Sheila Tinsley and husband Mike, and devoted nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by parents Johnny and Dixie Jones, his sisters Christine Rice and Marilyn Jones. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Mills River United Methodist Church.
