Frances Swangim Ashe, 79, died Saturday February 9, 2013 at The Oaks of Brevard. She was born May 20, 1933 in Transylvania County to the late Doll Swangim and Nellie Allen Swangim. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son Ronnie James Ashe, one brother; Russell Ewangim and two sisters; Nannie Swangim and Opal Peebles. Survivors include her husband Vessie Ashe, one daughter; Judy Ann Ashe, two brothers; Allen Swangim and Tommy Swangim, one sister Jean Galloway and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great- great nieces. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday February 11, 2013 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 12:45 until 1:45 pm.
