Francis C. Flynn, age 86, of Brevard, went to be with the Lord Friday, October 30, 2009. He was born in Cambridge, Mass a son of the late Lester J. and Corrine LeBlanc Flynn. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, John, Paul, and Billy Flynn. He was also a veteran of the Army Air Corp. serving during WWII. He was also a member of the Brevard-Davidson River Presbyterian Church. The Veterans of Foreign Wars and a member of the Henderson County Gem and Mineral Society INC. He was retired from Olin, after 40 years of service. Survivors include; One son, James "Jamie" Flynn, and wife Sonya, of Brevard. One daughter, Carol Flynn, of Brevard. Six sisters, Mary F. delOlio, Helen Ellison, Margaret Costa, Anne Bray, Alice Fitts, and Joan Reid, all of Boston, Mass. Grandchildren Rod and Christina Flynn of Brevard and Adam, Alex, and Aaron Flynn of Brevard. Great-grandchildren, William and Archer Flynn, of Brevard. Memorial Services will be held, Sunday, December 6, 2009 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Moody-Connolly Funeral Home, with Rev. Tommy Owen officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the Honor Guard for Transylvania County Veterans. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice of your choice.
