Obituary

Brevard - Reverend Frank Wolf received his Heavenly reward on March 12, 2024.  He was surrounded by Pastors Veranita, Sarah Grace and Sharad, good friend Hannah, his daughter Debbie, his sons, Britt and Drew and by his beloved wife, Marian.  Frank was anointed with oil by each person present, who then sang the Doxology and held each other as they sang "Here I am to Worship" as Frank breathed his last breath.

A holy home going!  "Well done, good and faithful servant."  Frank''s celebration of Life will be on Saturday, March 16 at 3:30 in the afternoon in the Fellowship Hall of Brevard First United Methodist Church.  Casual dress and bright colors are encouraged.

Born in Harrisburg, Pa on February 18, 1938, he was adopted by his late aunt and uncle, Edie and Fred Wolf, at an early age.  He served in the Navy for four years in Jacksonville, Florida.

Frank was preceded in death by his sons Mark Allen Wolf and Scott Allen Wolf, and stepson Brian (Lisa) Bankson.  He will be greatly missed by all who loved him:  his wife Marian of 40 years, his daughter Debbie Wolf, and his three stepsons, Jeff (Jill) Bankson, Britt (Wendy) Bankson, and Drew (Laura) Bankson.  He was blessed to have six grandchildren:  Luika, Adam, Mallory, Samantha, Sarah, and Reese, and four great grands Ella, Maggie, Palmer Grace, and Kainoa.

Frank had an interesting career, graduating from Triune University and working for IBM for 25 years, most of them in Texas where he and his wife became avid University of Texas fans!  In his early 50's, God called him to pastoral ministry.  He attended the Seminary of the Southwest in Austin, Texas and served as pastor at First United Methodist Church in Pflugerville, Texas.

In retirement Frank and Marian were blessed to spend 22 years in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina where he enjoyed fishing, hiking, playing  with his many dogs and establishing Pickleball in Connestee Falls.

We are all better for having crossed paths with him on his journey.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Christian Prison Ministry "Kairos".  Checks can be made out to Kairos and sent to First United Methodist Church, attention Hannah, 325 North Broad St, Brevard, NC 28712.
