Fred Earle Green Pisgah Forest – Fred Earle Green, 87, passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at The Oaks of Brevard. A native of Transylvania County, he was the son of the late Cecil Lawrence Green and Ketura Galloway Green. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Ruby C. Green, and his second wife, Edith Wood Green. Mr. Green was retired from the U. S. Navy and was a member of Turkey Creek Baptist Church. Surviving are his daughter, Dora Ann Lane; step-daughter, Gail Brown; step sons, Glenn McCall and Danny Lee McCall; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; beloved caregiver and friend, Michelle Winer. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 7, 2012 in the Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Smith officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will be in Woods Cemetery, Balsam Grove, with military graveside rites conducted by the Honor Guard for Veterans of Transylvania County.
