Pisgah Forest - Frederick Randolph Lynch died on December 5, 2025 after a short period of illness.
Fred is predeceased by his parents, his son, Douglas Brian Lynch, and his wife, Isabel.
Fred was the only child of Norman Randolph and Ruth Brewington Calhoun Lynch. He was born on July 20, 1936 in Riverside, New Jersey. Fred met his future wife, Isabella Pratt Simpson, in first grade in Sharon Hill, PA. Shortly after graduating from Sharon Hill High School, Fred joined the US Navy. He served during the Korean Conflict and was discharged as a Second Class Petty Officer (E5). Fred graduated from Pennsylvania Military College (now Widener University) in 1962 with a BSEE and spend many years in the Military/Aerospace industry before retiring to Pisgah Forest in 2000.
Fred and Isabel loved the outdoors and enjoyed hiking, canoeing, and boating in Florida. They were also RVers and traveled the United States, Canada, and Mexico. After moving to Pisgah Forest, they got to enjoy the mountains and trails of western North Carolina.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Norman E. and Kerry L. Lynch, his daughter-in-law (widow of Douglas) Marjorie A. Marshall, and grandson Kyle A. Lynch.
