Her living siblings include her brother, Stephen Haney and sisters, Ila Haney Hamilton and Sharon Haney Norris.
“Mama Gail”/ “NanNan” is the proud grandmother to Katrina Rittenhouse (Aarron) Adam Galloway (Emily); Eric Beason, Marissa Himes (Scott); Jacob Smith (Lexi), and Luke Smith.
Great-grandchildren include Chris, Erin (Logan), Jayce, Lakyn, Delaney, Hunter, Paisley, Felicity, and Kimber.

Gail had several jobs throughout her life, but her most rewarding were being a mom/wife, being a devout member of Rocky Hill Baptist Church for many years, serving as the Head of Nursery, and singing in the choir for as long as she was able.
Gail’s final days was spent at the Oaks in Brevard where she made many friends and had amazing care by all the nurses, aides and staff. Her family is very appreciative of the loving care she received while there. Four Season’s Hospice provided additional support for her comfort, also.
She loved her beautiful life in Cedar Mountain and will be greatly missed by many.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home and Crematory.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be given to St. Jude.org and/or to a local charity. In addition, we would appreciate seeing in Gail’s Memory Book where donations were made in her honor.
