Pisgah Forest - Gaynelle Patterson Brewer, 82, of Pisgah Forest, passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, December 12, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Carl and Violet Talley Patterson, 1950 graduate of Brevard High School, and loving wife to Charlie Brewer, whom she married in 1951. She was predeceased by her husband, and a son, Ben, as well as her sister Pat Bishop and brother, Harry Patterson. Gaynelle was an avid world traveler with a love for animals, jewelry, fashion, cooking, sewing, and Carolina Basketball. She was beloved, and will be missed by those she leaves behind. Gaynelle leaves behind a daughter, Brenda Brewer of Hickory, and a son Terry Brewer, his wife Lynn, and grandchildren Molly and Benjamin. Also remaining are her brother-in-law, Jerry Bishop of Brevard, sister-in-law, Brenda Patterson of Woodruff, SC., and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews whom she loved dearly. A time of Remembrance for family and friends will be held Sunday December 21st at 3:00 at The Chapel of Moody-Connolly Funeral Home.
