Lake Toxaway - Geneva Jones Thomas, 94, was called home to heaven by her Savior Thursday, June 8 2017, after a long and full life. Geneva was born November 25, 1922 and was the daughter of the late James and Pearl Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a husband, Frank Thomas, a son John Thomas, brothers, Harrell Jones, RV Jones, and Howard Jones. Also, two sisters, Violet Littles, and Emma McKinney. As well as a daughter-in-law, Gloria Fisher Thomas. Geneva cared for her husband Frank for over 20 years as he battled Alzheimer's Disease. In her spare time, she embroidered, quilted, and read her Bible cover to cover many times. Survivors include her son James (J.L) Thomas, grandsons, James Thomas (wife Lori), Jeffrey Thomas, and Chad Thomas. A granddaughter, April Thomas, and great-grandchildren Lily Costner, Sarah Costner, Geneva (Ginny) Thomas, Christopher Thomas, and Hannah Thomas. Also, Hollyn Ashe who thought of her as her grandmother. Funeral services will be held 12noon, Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Faith Baptist Church in Lake Toxaway with the Rev. Kyle Reese officiating. The family will receive friends and extended family 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Faith Baptist Church in her honor.
