See Off Community – Gentry Paul Morgan, Jr., 51, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at his residence. A native of Transylvania County, he was the son of Lula Hogsed Johnson of See Off and the late Gentry Paul Morgan, Sr. Mr. Morgan worked as a plumber for many years. He liked to fish and travel and he loved his family and friends. He was a member of the American Legion, the VFW, and the Moose Lodge. Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Suzanne Owensby Morgan; step-daughter, Billie Philpot and husband Will of Mills River; sisters, Sharon Newton of Hendersonville; Gayle Garvitte of Brevard; Leslie "Arkie" Douglas and husband John of Travelers Rest, SC; and Lynn Smith and husband Bobby of Brevard; granddaughter, Taylor Grace Philpot; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; his faithful four footed friend, G. P. The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 pm Sunday, November 20, 2011 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home. There will be a Celebration of Life service at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
