Pisgah Forest – George Vincent Mandala, 80, passed away on September 2, 2015. He was the son of the late John and Elvira Lopez Mandala. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, John Mandala. George's family was his whole world. Never could you imagine a more incredible husband, father or friend. The love he and his wife, Maria shared was the kind you only read about in books. For those of you who were lucky enough to know him you'll agree that he will be missed. He taught his sons how to be men in every sense of the word. He was a kind and compassionate man who was selfless to a fault. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Maria Festl Mandala; sons, George Mandala and wife Holly of Madison, NJ, Pete Mandala and wife Jill of Greensboro, NC, Chris Mandala of Brevard and Tim Mandala and wife Debi of Boynton Beach, FL; grandchildren, George Matthew, Chloe, Devon, P. J. and Kelsey. A Funeral Mass will be held 11am, Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
