George Harold Newman George Harold Newman, 75, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2015. He was the son of the late Charlie and Harriett Barnwell Newman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers; Hoyt and Clarence Newman and a sister; Geneva Erwin. Mr. Newman is survived by his sons; Allen Newman and wife Theresa of Rosman, Alton Newman and wife Candace of Rosman and Charlie Newman of Walhalla, SC; daughters, Lavelle Newman Terry and husband John of Long Creek, SC and Lynn Galloway of Balsam Grove, sisters; Jessie Case, Lorie Newman and Mary Beck; grandchildren, Cody, Conner, Hailey, Colton, Hampton, Brayden Newman, Jacob Terry, Melissa Shields Castillo, Kelsey and Tony Shields and Breanna Eubanks; great grandchildren, Gavin and Asyana Castillo and Myleah Cagel. Funeral Services will be held 2pm, Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Middlefork Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in GW Whitmire Cemetery.
