George Ross Wilson, age 95 of Brevard, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2020. Mr. Wilson was born on January 8, 1925 in Transylvania County, NC to the late Lester Benjamin Wilson and Nora Ross Wilson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jewel Garren Wilson, a son, Richard Mark Wilson, a brother, L. C. Wilson, and a sister, Mae McNeely. Mr. Wilson was a great dad and always did was best for his family. He was a longtime member of Cathey's Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Dean Ross Wilson and wife Alevtyna of Manassas, VA, and grandson, Eric Thomas Wilson. The funeral service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at Cathey's Creek Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home.
