Gerald Hensley, 69, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Transylvania Regional Hospital. A native of Transylvania County, he was the son of the late Junior and Willa Mae Cody Hensley. Mr. Hensley was a retired Corporate Accountant with P. H. Glatfelter and was a member and Past President of the National Accountants Association. He was a member of Pisgah Forest Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Betty Hensley; daughters, Cindy Hensley George and husband James of Taylorsville, NC, and Susan Hensley Hannah and husband Randy of Kernersville, NC; grandchildren, Megan and Tanner George, and Jace and Ethan Hannah; special aunts, Irma Barnett and Betty Brown, several cousins. The memorial service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Pisgah Forest Baptist Church with the Revs. David Spray and Jackie Hensley officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pisgah Forest Baptist Church or to Four Seasons Hospice.
