Harold "Dean" Newton Sr., 77, completed his heavenly journey on May 31, 2020 at Mountain View Alzheimer's unit in Hendersonville, NC. He was born on February 6, 1943 to Glen and Myrtle Newton. Mr. Newton worked on the golf courses of Sherwood Forest and Connestee Falls for many years and at Wells Nursery in Penrose NC for quite a few years. He enjoyed building things and being outdoors. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Connie Owens Newton; second wife, Melinda Moffit Newton; two siblings, Sandy Collins and Keith Newton. Survivors include two children and a daughter, Monica Moore and husband David; a son, Harold D. Newton Jr. and wife Pam; two brothers, Wayne Newton and wife Evelyn, Dale Newton and wife Kathy; five grandchildren, Jonathan, Kaleb, Shiane, Melinda and Rose; six great-grandchildren, Aby, Walker, Bella, Junior, Zachary and Kaylix. Daddy will be loved and missed dearly. There will be a celebration of life on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at 2PM at Affirmative World Tabernacle, 226 Calvert Road, Brevard NC.
