Hazel Ward, 89, of Brevard passed away on Monday, April 20, 2015 at Trinity Ridge Nursing Home in Mt View, NC. . She was born on March 21, 1926 in Greenville, SC to the late Ben and Mary Arrowood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and four sisters. Hazel worked for 45 years at Ecusta in Pisgah Forest, NC. She did not have any children, she said that all of her nieces and nephews were her children. She loved dogs and her flowers. Those left to cherish Hazel's memory are all of her nieces, nephews, friends and nursing staff. Funeral services will be held 2pm Friday, April 24, 2015 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Owen officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.
