Helen Dills Baynard age 82, Loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday September 22, 2009 at the Oaks of Brevard. A native of Almond NC she was the daughter of the late John Floyd and Zena Lowery Dills. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Carl Bruce Baynard, two sisters; Margie Petit and Beatrice Dills. Survivors include one son: Tommy Baynard and his wife Wanda of Pisgah Forest, one daughter: Mrs. Jean Baynard Rigdon and her husband Don of Banner Elk, six grandchildren; Andrew Baynard and his wife Farrah of Pisgah Forest, Matthew Rigdon and his wife Sara of Banner Elk, Kimberly Rigdon of Charlotte, Isaac Nichols of Pisgah Forest, Michael Lamm of Pisgah Forest and Christopher Lamm of Knoxville Tn. Six very special great grandchildren; Toby and Ansly Baynard of Pisgah Forest, Katie and Connor Rigdon of Baner Elk, Colton Goforth of Fayetteville, Brenden Lamm of Knoxville Tn. And Kadence Bailey of Pisgah Forest, six sisters; Gay Patton, Hazel McMahan, Nora Hutchins, Maxine Douglas, Betty Prebar and Ellen Buch, one brother; John Floyd (Junior) Dills. Funeral services will be held Friday September 25, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Tommy Owen interment will follow in Pisgah Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm Friday prior to the service at the funeral home
