Helen Dare Collins, age 106, passed away on February 11, 2025. Helen was born on November 21, 1918, in Marshall, NC to Jasper and Maude Rice and was a graduate of Marshall High School. Helen married Monroe Collins on June 6, 1941, in Pickens, SC and relocated to Brevard to raise her family.  She was a homemaker, and her family was her life.  She enjoyed being with family, fishing, reading, watching her TV shows and being outside.  For 50 years, she volunteered in the nursery at Calvary Baptist Church.

Helen was predeceased by her parents and six siblings, her husband Monroe Collins, her son Carl Collins and 2 great-grandchildren.  She is survived by her children Norma (Everette) Hipp, Terry White and Libby (Robert) Olewine, along with thirteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

She will have a private graveside service.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice in Helen's name.
