Helen Jewell Ayers Hightower, of Brevard, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at Transylvania Regional Hospital after a long illness.

She was born on July 7, 1941, in Brevard to the late Ticie and Eva Phillips Ayers.

Jewell is survived by her husband, Ralph Roy Hightower; sisters, Cissy Faye Ayers and Shirley Louise Ayers; brother, Ray "Buddy" Ayers (Sandy). She was proud of her family and many nieces and nephews.

She was also proud of her Brevard Blue Devil Class of 1959, and many, many friends. God bless her soul.
