Howard L. McCall of Brevard went to be with the Lord Monday February 21, 2011. He was born May 13,1932 in Transylvania County to the late Melvin and Rernella Mason McCall, two brothers; Hubert and Newman McCall. Survivors include his son David McCall and Howards life long love Jean, six nieces and nephews, Loretta Russels and husband Chuck of Arden, Kenneth McCall of Rosman, Marsha Henderson and her husband Dexter, Michael McCall and his wife Connie of Balsam Grove, Dwayne McCall and his wife Fonda of Penrose, Cindy Owenby and her husband Berry of Balsam Grove and a number of grand nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday February 25, 2011 at 1:00pm at Shoal Creek Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Buster McCall and Rev. Billy Bruner. Mr. McCall will lie in state at the church from 12:00pm until 1:00pm prior to the service. Interment will follow at Pisgah Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7:00pm until 9:00m Thursday evening at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be sent to The American Cancer Society or Four Seasons Hospice, 571 South Allen Rd. Flat Rock NC 28731. Serving as pallbearers will be: Kenneth McCall, Dexter Henderson, Michael McCall Dwayne McCall, Barry Owenby, Rex Galloway, Rowland Bontrager and Paul Aiken.
