Hubert Howell Arrington, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, was born on January 4, 1939, in Waynesville, North Carolina. He peacefully departed this life at Pruitt Health on September 7th 2026, surrounded by the love and care of his devoted family. His legacy is carried forth by his loving wife, Jean L. Arrington, with whom he shared a remarkable 49 years of marriage.
He was a proud father to Sherry Buchanan(deceased), and his children Scott (Krissy), Sammy (Kim), Stanley (Teresa), Angelia (Ted), and Timothy (Tori). Hubert's love and wisdom were treasured by his 11 grandchildren: Meredith, Amy, Sabrina, Krystal, Sheli, Tera, Todd, Makalia, Hannah, and Kimberley; and his 18 great-grandchildren: Nadia, Kaiah, Cason, Paisley, Hudson, Dylan, Carmen, Alaya, Kailey, Makenzley, Peyton, Lincoln, Kendyn, Lennox, Saylor, Adriel, Anna, and Levi.

Professionally, he was the heart and soul of Arrington Pump Service, which he owned and operated for over two decades. Through his work, Hubert was known not only for his skill but for his integrity and the genuine care he extended to all.
A man of many words and endless stories, Hubert was a talker who never met a stranger. His ability to engage others with warmth and humor was a testament to his compassionate nature and his enduring interest in people. Above all, his greatest joy in life was his family, who were his heart and soul.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Pruitt Health for the compassionate care they provided Hubert during his time with them. In honor of his life and legacy, the family requests that any donations be made in his memory to a charity of your choice.
