Obituary

Penrose – Ida Elizabeth Hamilton, passed away November 16, 2020. She was born on March 23, 1930 to the late George Larkin and Ida Elizabeth Reid Miller. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Bruce Hamilton, sisters, Lucy Hubbard, Louise McKinney and Annie McDowell, brothers, Sherrill, Carl and Charlie Miller. A lifelong resident of Transylvania County, she was of Baptist faith and a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. At 90 years old, Elizabeth lived a very long life being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved homemaking, gardening, reading and flowers. She was a great seamstress and made many beautiful crafts. Survivors include her daughter, Linda Honeycutt and husband Gerald of Little River, son, Douglas Hamilton of Little River, sister, Myrtle Gordan of Henderson County and sister in law, Elizabeth Cantrell-Bolt of Brevard, grandchildren, Melissa Moreno and husband Jorge of Etowah and Mickey Honeycutt and wife Lanessa of Little River, great grandchildren, Jonathon, Isabella, Fabian, Jordan, Antoni, Jazmin and Derek. Graveside services will be held 1pm, Friday, November 20, 2020 at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory.
