Brevard, NC – Irene Martell, 90, died Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at Tore's Home #2. A native of Blackburn, England, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Florence Strong Dean and was the wife of the late Lee Martell. She was also preceded in death by her son, Dennis Martell. Mrs. Martell was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Surviving are her daughter, Jean Allison and husband Kenneth of Brevard; granddaughters, Jill Klar and husband Tom, and Julie Neal and husband Rick; great-grandchildren, Tiffany Kraemer, Jeffery and Alexandria Klar, Jordan, Jenna, Jacob, and Jillian Neal. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am Saturday, July 3, 2010 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Carl T. DelGiudice officiating. Burial will be in St. Cecilia Cemetery, Clare, MI at a later date. The family will receive friends from 7-9 pm Friday and from 1-3 Saturday at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation or to TRH Hospice.
