Jack Ervin Gunter, Jr. 83, went home to be with the Lord on September 19, 2024. He was born on June 17, 1941, in Jackson County, NC. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Jack and Bonnie Gunter of Sylva NC, son Sammy, and brothers Jerry and L. H.

He is survived by his faithful wife of sixty years, Betty of Pisgah Forest; son Eddie (Rhonda); daughter Debbie (Josh); grandchildren Nicole (Patrick), Jonathan, Kaitlyn (Zach) and Gracie; great grandchildren Liam, Mason and Sammy; and Brother Ronnie (Darlene).

Jack was devoted to his family and Church where he was a Sunday School Teacher for forty years.

His favorite hobby was camping and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

His memorial service will be held September 28, 2024, at Grace Baptist Church in Brevard. Visitation will start at 11:00 am and service at noon.
