Pisgah Forest – James Ronald "Ronnie" Allender, 70, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at his residence. A native of Transylvania County, he was the son of the late James William Allender and Annie Glendola Matthews Allender. Mr. Allender retired from Ecusta after 44 years of service. He was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. Surviving are his daughters, Lisa Allender Long of Cedar Mountain and Christy Allender of Pisgah Forest; brother, Danny Allender of Pisgah Forest; grandchildren, Heidi Marie Walker, James Zachary Allender, and Brianna Hope Reynolds; great-grandson, Tristen Anthony Walker. The graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, June 19, 2011 at Rock Bridge Cemetery, Jackson County. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to TRH Hospice.
