James R. Begley, Sr. (Ray) passed away on Monday March 2, 2015 at age 80. Mr. Begley was son of the late Emma Bowling Begley and the Willie Begley of Hazard, KY. His son Denver preceded him in death in 2013. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Bobbie, his children Shawna Lance of Brevard, James R. Begley, Jr. (US Air Force) of Reno, NV, and Robert B. Begley of Rosman. One of 10 children, Ray is also survived by his remaining brother US Army ret. Rufus E. Begley. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Family visitation will be held at the Moody-Connolly funeral home chapel on Tuesday March 10 from 6:00pm until 7:00pm.
