James "Garrett" Buchanan 41 of Brevard passed away Wednesday August 15, 2012. He was the son of the late Eugene Buchanan and Linda Griffin. He is survived by his wife, Amy, sons, Tyler and Austin, sister Kim Whitaker, grandmother, Dorothy Griffin, grand mother-in-law, Dorothy Bryson, mother-in-law, Phyllis Bryson, father-in-law, David Briggs, sister-in-law, Portia Tinsley and husband Chris, aunts and uncles, Sandy Griffin, Carolyn and David Crane, Bill and Carolyn Griffin, Dennis and Cathy Griffin, Kenneth Griffin, Larry Briggs, Charles and Nancy Briggs and Lance Bryson, nieces and nephews, Brandy and Raven Whitaker, Lauren and Tony Sansosti, Ryan Tinsley and Brynnlyn Godbold, and the many friends who knew him best. Funeral services will be held Saturday August 18, 2012 at 1:00pm at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends prior to the service Saturday from 12 noon until 1:00pm.
