Pisgah Forest – James "Elmer" Conley, 57, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016 just one week after his son Brandon passed away. He was the son of the late Joseph McCall. He was also preceded in death by his son, James "Brandon" Owens. Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Cathy Owens Conley; mother, Mary Lou McCall; son, Adam Conley and wife Noteca of Brevard; daughter, Summer Conley Griffin and husband Nathan of Horseshoe; brother, Joel Conley; sisters, Sharon Winstead, Janie Conley, Tina Conley, Vera Conley and Mary Ellen Gordan; grandchildren, Nahshon, Eli, BJ, Javier, Michael, Zymaria, Charlotte, Scarlett, Catalina and his beloved dog, Abby. Memorial services will be held 2pm, Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Glade Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Spencer and Gwen Jones officiating.
