James Berlin Fisher Brevard – James Berlin (J.B.) Fisher, 89, peacefully went home to be with the Lord at his residence on Friday, October 31, 2014. He was the son of the late Ira and Mary Essie Shook Fisher. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife; Mary Louise Fisher and his son; Lemuel Evoy Fisher. J.B. was a member of Destiny Christian Church and loved God and his family dearly. He was known as the worlds #1 Coon Hunter. Many knew him as the dog trader on Old Toxaway. People came from all over the Southeast to trade with J.B. Recently, he sold fifteen roosters out of the back of his truck at the bank for $100. He was employed by Ecusta for 41years. He took great joy in serving and helping others. Surviving are his son; Gary Lee Fisher and wife Beverly of Thomasville, NC; daughters, Carolyn Fisher Merrill of Brevard, Rhonda Webb and Denise Goff of Atlanta, GA; four brothers, five sisters, thirteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held 2pm, Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home with the Rev. Dema Barishnikov officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory (formerly Pisgah Gardens). In lieu of flowers, the family would like to ask for donations to be made to "Mobile Meals" in the name of J.B. Fisher.
