Brevard -Reverend James (Jim) Jones was born March 25, 1946, to the late Lonnie Lloyd Jones and Reba Norman Jones.

On June 7,1963, Jim married Kathyleen Moore. They were happily married for over 54 years, until her death in May 2018. In addition to his parents and his wife, Jim was preceded in death by his brothers Hanzel, Bill, Lonnie (Junior), Paul, Frank Jones.

Rev. Jim was a lifelong resident of Transylvania County. Rev. Jim devoted his life to serving the Lord and walking a path towards righteousness. Rev. Jim was member at Selica Community Worship Center in Brevard where he enjoying preaching the word of God to others.

Rev. Jim is survived by his son, Bryan Jones and his partner, Lorri Branchfield and their children Heather, Tyler, Kalie, Jonathan, Taylor.

Rev. Jim is survived by his daughter, Brenda Jones Livesay and her partner, Stan Hensley, and her children Candace, Ron (Bubba), and Skylar. In addition, Rev. Jim is survived by 9 great grandchildren and many cousins.

Rev. Jim touched the lives of many people. His big heart will never be forgotten.

Funeral Services will be held at 2pm, Friday, January 17,  2025 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in Turkey Creek Cemetery.
