Brevard – James Davis Laws, 73, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016. He was the son of the late Jeff and Sarah Edith Jenkins Laws. Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Phyllis Woodard Laws, sons; Thomas Milford Laws of Brevard and Curtis Lee Laws of Brevard, sisters; Maleta Sue Long of Weaverville and Elsie Patra Ray of Brevard, grandchildren; Jordan and Brittany, two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 3pm, Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home with the Rev. David Spray officiating. The family will receive friends from 1pm – 3pm prior to the service. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory at 2pm on Monday, November 28, 2016.
