James Harry Marsh 80, of Hendersonville, died Monday August 19, 2013. He was born in Greensboro NC to late James and Edith Wright Marsh. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Linda Marsh Green. Mr. Marsh was a Sargeant in the U.S. Marines during the Korean War. Worked for Binswanger Glass in Greensboro, Florence, Virginia Beach VA, Richmond VA and Columbia SC. He later worked in Real Estate sales in Columbia and was a residential real estate appraiser covering a large territory in and around Columbia and Orangeburg retiring in 2005. He moved to Hendersonville 2007 and was a member of Pinecrest ARP Church in Flat Rock. He is Survived by loving wife Mary Ellenor Dickson Marsh, one son; James Robert Marsh and his wife Jean of Yorktown VA, one step son Will Ripley and his wife Ashley of Elgin SC, one daughter; Susan Ware Marsh of Greensboro, one step daughter Angela Ripley Williams and her husband Jimmy of Rock Hill SC, one brother Jerry Marsh and his wife Marguerite of Hendersonville, two grandchildren; Debra Marsh Muse and Rick Marsh, four step grandchildren, Conner Ripley, Dylan Ripley, Zachary Williams and Ripley Williams and one great grandchild Wesley Muse. A graveside service will be held Thursday August 22, 2013 at Woodridge Memorial Park 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington SC. At 2:00pm conducted by Rev. Jim Coad. The family will gather after the service to greet friends in attendance. A memorial service will be 11:00am Friday August 23, 2013 at Pinecrest Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church 1790 Greenville Highway, Flat Rock NC conducted by Rev. Rhett Carson and Rev. Jim Coad. A reception will follow in Evans Hall. Serving as pallbearers will be; Rick Marsh, Paul Muse, Will Ripley, Jimmy Williams, Zachary Williams, Conner Ripley, Gene Dickson, Byron Dickson, George Selkinghas, Dylan Ripley, Joe Ferguson and Robert Davis.
