Winston-Salem – James C. "J.C." Martin, 83, formerly of Brevard, went home to be with the Lord on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2016. He ascended to his heavenly home surrounded by his GOD GIVEN family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, C. A. "Bear" Tinsley and Lucille Brown Tinsley. J. C. is survived by his wife of 43 years, Frances Tinsley Martin and many special children, grandchildren, and brothers and sisters in Christ. He retired from Roadway Express after 35 years with over 4 million miles of safe driving. J. C. was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Winston-Salem, NC, was a 32nd Degree Mason, and was a member of the Arcadia Lions Club. Private Masonic Funeral Rites will be held. A public visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, April 15, 2016 from 7-8 PM at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home.
