Pisgah Forest – James "Jim" Douglas Martin, 72, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2016. He was a career soldier. He was a member of the U S Navy and then the Army National Guard. James was also a member of law enforcement. He loved to shoot guns, even built one of his own. He enjoyed feeding his squirrels who he would often name. James enjoyed playing war simulation video games with his friends and grandson. His puppies Dolly and Champ gave him so much joy. Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Donna Martin; one daughter, Kelly Todd and husband Chris of Pisgah Forest and grandchildren; Christian and Paige Todd.
