Brevard - James Francis McPherson entered eternal life on Wednesday, March 8, 2023.

Jim was born November 14, 1940 in Buffalo, NY, to the late Henry and Georgia (née Nugent) McPherson. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his beloved wife Ann (née Tauriello) as well as his brother Richard and sister Barbara Meyers.

He is survived by his children, Laura (John) Bruening, Mark (Virginia) McPherson, and Lisa McPherson; grandchildren, Isabel, Hannah, Henry, and Gretchen.

Jim and Ann relocated many times throughout their 58-year marriage and met many wonderful friends along the way, finally settling in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina.

He will be fondly remembered for his devotion to family particularly his wife Ann, his clever wit and humor, his automotive knowledge, and his intellectual curiosity.

A funeral Mass will be held 10am, Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Brevard, NC. Reception to follow in church hall.
