James Franklin Owen Brevard - James Franklin Owen, 67, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Transylvania County, he was the son of the late John Theodore Owen and Dorothy Reece Owen. Mr. Owen was retired from Ecusta after 37 years of service and he was a member of the Rosman Pentecostal Lighthouse Church. Surviving are his wife, Sue Owen; daughters, Katrina Wilson of Brevard, Heidi Poole of Greenville, SC, Amanda Goins and husband Gene of Mt. Airy, NC, Jamie Riddick and husband Jason of Brevard; step children, Alan Driggers and wife Michelle of Orlando, FL, Ronnie Driggers of Winston-Salem, NC and Carolyn Johnson and husband Chris of Williamsburg, VA; sisters, Geneva Galloway, Patricia Kitchen, and Toni Owen all of Brevard; brothers, Teddy Owen and wife Phyllis of Easley, SC, Donny Owen and wife Marlene of Pickens, SC, Buddy Owen and wife Martha of Mills River, and Ricky Owen of Brevard; grandchildren, Crystal, Marissa, and Lee Wilson; Hunter Owens, and Desiree and Jeremy Goins; step granddaughter, Brittany Foster. The memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday at the Rosman Pentecostal Lighthouse Church with the Rev. Don Johnson officiating.
