Lt. Col U.SA.F (Ret) James Walter Poore, "Jim", age 90, passed away on June 9, 2023, and is singing with the heavenly choir.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Marshall Poore and is survived by his son, James Walter Poore, Jr. of Riverside, CA, and his adopted family, Melony and Jonathan Shipman and their family of Rosman, NC.

Mr. Poore was born in Chico, CA. He lived a long, full life with many accomplishments. In addition to serving and fighting for our freedom for 25 years including WW II and the Korean Conflict, he had a PhD in Business Management and many other degrees in management and applied science. He was President of Sonoma County Vet Connect, a Broker/Financial Advisor for ML Stern and Company, Senior Vice President of Valdec consulting Inc., Principal of Poore and Associates, Vice President of Bank of America of San Francisco, CA, Director of Operations of FS Equipment Management Corp., and Director of Strategic Planning for Tiger Air, Los Angeles, CA.

He was brilliant! He loved telling stories of being a Navigator in the Air Force and all the places he'd been. Mr. Poore used to sing in the choir and spent the last several weeks jamming out to choir music.

His wishes were to be cremated and his ashes sent to Arlington National Cemetery in VA. He was greatly loved and will be sorely missed.
