James "Clyde" Shook, age 86 of Brevard, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 17, 2019. He was the son of the late Joe and Clercy Hooper Shook. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ernestine Shook, son in law, Russell Merritt, three children and two grandchildren. Clyde was a member of Cathey's Creek Baptist Church. He loved his church family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors, trucks and chewing tobacco. Above all, he adored his family. Survivors include one son, Jimmy Shook and his wife Sandi of Brevard, three daughters, Tina Shook of Brevard, Brenda Merritt of Brevard and Sherle Annmann and her husband Randy of West Palm Beach, FL, one son in law, Gerald Furney of West Palm Beach, FL, nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held 11am, Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Lambert officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
