James Bernard Stewart, 88, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. He was born in Jackson County, NC on March 10, 1936, to the late Frank and Violet McCall Stewart. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Ray Stewart of Easley, SC, and a sister, Janis O'Shields of Brevard.

Mr. Stewart was a retired Sgt. with the U.S. Army.

Surviving is a sister, Joan Stewart Parker (Chuck) of Brevard, and several nieces and nephews.

At Mr. Stewart's request, no formal services will be held. He will be buried at Stewart Cemetery at Yellow Mountain in Jackson County.
